Statewide Education Advocacy

Revived and repositioned a dormant community advocacy brand into an instrumental inside player, to deliver dramatic legislative and financial results.

A once successful statewide education advocacy campaign, originally a coalition of community groups seeking expanded government support and offsets for non-public schools, had lost momentum after some early victories.

 

Within 18 months, TEACH-NYS integrated a political, fundraising and lobbying operation into a new advocacy network of 13 Jewish schools, actively partnering with the New York State Catholic Conference to realize a $44 million increase in receivables from New York State. The national umbrella of Orthodox Jewish congregations adopted this network as the in-house education advocacy brand for its flagship New York State initiative.
